Assignment for Paper Four: Putting It All Together

Prompt:
Now that you have done a significant amount of fieldwork, secondary research, and analysis of your technology and its use, it is time to put all that you have done together into one coherent, cohesive, and cogent document. This paper should be at least ten to twelve pages in length, and it should address the wide range of your work on this topic over the course of the semester. Think of this paper as your chance to tie all the different threads of your analysis together into a overarching interpretation. Of course, the research you’ve done over the semester has revealed that your topics are too large to be addressed in their totality, so you’ll need to make choices about what to focus on in order to have an in-depth analysis.

Write a ten to twelve page paper in which you do all of the following:

While these four aspects need to be included in your paper, they don't have to be organized in four different sections or in the order they're listed in here. In addition, you’ll need to:

Remember, this is not a list of questions to ask, and your paper should not be organized according to the bullet points. Rather, you should develop a main idea (or thesis) about your technology using everything you know about it. This main idea (or thesis) should reflect the research and analysis you've done; in other words, it shouldn't state something immediately obvious to an outsider or someone who hasn’t studied it extensively.
