Paragraph Glossing:

Part 1: For this assignment, take your "Frankenstein" draft and write a one-sentence summary of each paragraph.

Part 2: Read through your summaries and look for patterns, things to expand on, repetitive elements, etc. Trace out how your assumptions may have changed, and what events or observations instigated these changes.

Look especially for places where you can add more detail, where you can "thicken" the draft.

Write a brief (one or two good-size paragraphs) plan of attack. What are you planning on following up on? What patterns do you see? Has the activity suggested an organizational method for the final paper?

Print parts one and two and bring to class on Thursday.
